What craziness it’s been! Sorry for my neglect – between the National Stationery Show and being in NYC for Memorial Day weekend I took advantage and take a break from posting. I’m not sure how the weather just jumped to feeling like summer, but I can say I’m ready to break out all the iced drinks, summer jams, and shorts + wedges. Here are 6 summer blues for you:
It is officially Spring wedding season! Anyone else feeling it? The Virginia / DC area is getting bright and green and downright beautiful – perfect for these celebrations. I love these cake toppers by Emily Steffen as a fun detail for a dessert bar [they come in gold, silver or champagne glitter!] and don’t forget to get the lovely couple a card and write down your congrats instead of just saying it. One of my recent favorites is this Sugar Paper greeting card that says, “& the rest is history”. Who can resist a good ampersand? Not I!
Cheers to all the happy couples who got hitched this weekend!
I’m ready for the cherry blossoms to come out! The magnolias have been gorgeously making their appearance amongst us here in DC, but I’m hoping this sunshine and warmer weather will bring out these blooms for at least a weekend or two so long as the allergies stay far, far away.
As much as I love the color combination of pink and gray, there’s nothing like a good jet black to keep you grounded. The natural pink from this Lupine dress would go great with some black booties or sandals for the summer. This pink opal geo diamond cuff would pair well with that dress [I've been hooked on cuffs lately], too. And I had to throw these awesome matchbooks in from The Social Type – they’re extra long which makes them great for lighting multiple candles in one strike. Get a good black and gold watch, like this Kensington leather piece and dress it down with these stretch jersey tapered pants from UNIQLO. Yeah, I just posted a pair of sweats on the blog. Say whaat?!
