Wowzas. It’s been a year, y’all. I cannot believe I’ve had this online space for a whole year already. So much has happened because of starting this blog – I’ve made so many connections with people I never thought would happen and I feel like I’m finally growing into my online persona, defining this space better and finding my niche. I’ve realized how important it is to have your own web space for people to find you, especially if you freelance, work in a creative industry or have a lot of side projects and hobbies. You really never know who will find you and it’s a huge asset, stronger than Instagram, Twitter, or Pinterest in my opinion. But blogging is hard work. It’s difficult to stay consistent with it and requires more effort than it seems. It keeps me up late, but it keeps me thinking and on my toes – for that I’m thankful.
So a huge thanks to those of you who have followed the blog from it’s beginning days [when it used to just be a suitcase and a cardigan] and those of you who have discovered me along the way, whether or not you’ve commented to let me know you’re alive. (; I wanted to share with y’all the top 3 posts from the year! Drumroll, please…
3 / Project: Lean Closet [Oddly enough, this post lead up to today’s blog birthday! The auctioning of my clothes + accessories ends today at 6PM EST, so go go go! And tell your petite girl friends.]
2 / Calling the Creatively Oppressed, the Freelancers, the Get-My-Feet-Wet Types, the Small Creative Business Owners [This one’s a mouthful, but I am still floored at the people who reached out and are still reaching out to me! I’m still working out how to start getting people connected, but if you fit the bill please still email me! This is a side project in the works.]
1 / Anthropologie Petites Store Photo Tour [An amazing opportunity from the ladies at Anthropologie turned into this lovely photo tour at their new and only petites storefront in Chevy Chase, MD. If you’re in the area, you should stop by!]
Again, a very sincere thanks to everyone who stops by to “support” the blog. Though I don’t make any money off anything I post, I’m glad to be here and share my thoughts, some of my favorite things, and little visions of inspiration. Cheers!
