Pinch me! Someone, pinch me. I am incredibly honored to share that a little touch of my work has been featured in Weddings Unveiled Magazine. I’ve only ever dreamed of having my name in print when I was a little girl or back in the days of yearbook camp, but this is truly something else. Throughout my 2+ years in DC so far I have been incredibly blessed to know and work with so many talented people who have [I kid you not] just looked at me and said, “I’ll give you a chance.” This is how things tend to begin for me…at least that’s how it was for me when I met Vicki Grafton. I still have no idea why she hired me in the first place, but I am thankful for every second for our friendship + partnership.
When I flip through the magazine, I can’t help but feel like I don’t belong. I’m such an amateur compared to the majorly brilliant wedding giants who grace the pages – Eric Kelley, Holly Chapple, Anne Robert, Tec Petaja, Janie Medley, Calder Clark…but what’s important is that I’m learning + growing every day [okay, perhaps not physically]. This shoot was a great collaborative effort and you can read more about it on one of my previous posts when it was featured online on Green Wedding Shoes. It’s all very surreal to me – some moments I’m calm and other times I’m geeking out, though it’s probably best for me to keep my cool. A million thanks to Michele from Meant to be Calligraphy for doing all the gorgeous calligraphy in this shoot and for also giving my pitch a chance. I had a fabulous time dreaming + watercoloring up the paper details for this shoot and I’m totally soaking up prop styling!
Check it out the online version for yourself and look out for me on pages 86-89! Want more eye-candy from the shoot? Vicki’s blog is chock full of details shots.
Pardon me as I go in the corner and squeal.
